Communication that works
Pick one channel for work messages and stick to it. Reply to questions the same day. Say, out loud, in the first call: "Asking me is always right. Guessing is the only thing that gets you in trouble." Then thank them the first time they ask.
Filipino work culture is polite and respectful of the boss. "Yes" can mean "I heard you", not "I understand". Ask open questions — "Which step is unclear?" — instead of "Do you understand?". Praise in public, correct in private.
