Paying on time, every time

Nothing builds trust faster than pay that arrives when you said it would, and nothing breaks it faster than pay that is late. Agree the rate, the pay day and the method before day one. Wise, PayPal and Payoneer all reach the Philippines within a day or two; many people also use GCash, which Wise can pay into.

Pay every two weeks at first, then monthly if you both prefer. Never pay in advance for work not done, and never pay late for work that is. A late payment is not a small thing to someone supporting a family on it.

Do this today: put the pay day in your calendar as a repeating reminder.
